You would think that selling millions of records would thwart the Fergie plastic surgery disaster that showed up in recent years, but nope, it seems to have only compounded them. Millions of fans were shocked to see the singer in her new face, as she had obviously had work done, and not for the better. Yes, it was noted in the media that she was older than most people thought, and maybe that prompted her to go under the knife, but as a successful musical artist, it seemed odd that she would go to such drastic measures to look good or different.

The reason for the skepticism was because she has been a vocal advocate of "girl power" in a lot of ways, and it seemed like a dichotomy for her to think that she needed to change the way she looked.
