Orthognathic surgery is surgical manipulation of the elements of facial skeleton to renovate the proper anatomic and functional relationship of the patients that are suffering from dentofacial skeletal anomalies. This is such a surgery that is performed on the bones of the jaws to change their position. It is in other words the corrective facial surgery which is done where the jaw deformities exist.
